Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that there’s plenty of wedding drama ahead in the coming weeks. Four couples are set to tie the knot, so that’s certainly exciting news for DOOL fans. While we look forward to all the nuptials, let’s consider some real-life weddings!
In a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, several Days actors opened up about tying the knot. They were asked what they would change about their big day if they could – and it turns out the answer is: not much!
Three different DOOL stars were satisfied with their weddings, although one of them did have one minor qualm with his own. Here’s what they all had to say.
First, Billy Flynn (Chad DiMera) thought back to when he married his wife, Gina Comparetto. It was a flawless day in Flynn’s opinion, so he wouldn’t be looking for a do-over. “I wouldn’t change a thing,” Flynn insisted. “It was the best day of my life. It was perfect.”
Mary Beth Evans (Kayla Brady) took a similar stance when it came to her nuptials, which she considers perfect as well. “I don’t think I would change anything about my real-life wedding,” Evans admitted. She suggested that unlike most Days of Our Lives weddings, this one went according to plan.
Evans married her husband, Michael Schwartz, at sunset on a cliff that overlooked the ocean, so that certainly sounds lovely. The fact that Evans was getting hitched to the love of her life made it even better.
“I married the man of my dreams and will be married 35 years in November,” Evans said. Days marriages don’t usually last that long, but Evans has got his whole marriage thing down in real life!
Finally, Eric Martsolf (Brady Black) chimed in with some thoughts on marrying Lisa Kouchak – and there’s only one thing Martsolf would change: the amount of food he ate.
Martsolf admitted that although he bought enough “to feed the Coast Guard,” he didn’t consume much of anything himself. Grooms can get pretty busy, so Martsolf was only able to eat a few bites of chicken and a roll.
If that’s the worst problem he can think of, we’d say Martsolf’s wedding must’ve been pretty perfect, too! It’s always fun to hear about the successful real-life romances of Days of Our Lives stars. Flynn, Evans and Martsolf all seem quite happy in their steady marriages.
