Dr. Dre
The rapper is the richest man in the rap industry at the moment, and he has no problem sharing his fortune with others. His Beatz by Dre have made him a fortune, and that money isn’t all going to yachts and sports cars and wild vacations in luxury locations. The rap star and businessman recently spread his good fortune around Hollywood when he decided to spend some time at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood. He left his waitress a $5,000 tip. The cost of his bill is unknown, but it doesn’t matter; that’s one massive tip!

Russell Crowe
He might have a few notes against him based on some behavior in recent years that make Crowe look a bit like a diva and a bit difficult to work with, but the famous actor isn’t all that bad. In fact, he’s been known to leave some seriously good tips when he’s out and about. In 2009, the actor spent $400 on a meal in a Welsh pub. The standard 20 percent tip would have been around $80, but the actor decided his service was good enough to warrant a $1000 tip! Then he got on stage and played some music with his band.

Johnny Depp
He’s a pirate with an attitude, but he’s not a bad guy. He might be funny and not all that nice in some of his most famous roles, but in real life, the superstar actor is apparently a generous fellow. He once went to dinner and ordered several bottles of wine that cost around $500 a piece. When the bill came, he took care of it all. That included leaving his waiter a tip that was upward of $4000. He was dining at a famous Chicago steakhouse by the name of Gibson’s Steakhouse, where the prices aren’t inexpensive and the service is stellar.

Charlize Theron
You might wonder why someone would go out to eat or order something if they don’t have any money on them, but it happens. You leave the house after exchanging your handbag and realize that you left your wallet in the other bag at home. Something like this happened to Charlize Theron recently when she went to Pinkberry in Hollywood. She couldn’t find any money to pay her $3.75 bill so she asked if she could come right back. She left the shop and went home to get some money. She returned with a $100 bill and let the server keep the change.

Taylor Swift
She’s one of the biggest superstar celebrity singers in the world, and she has a reputation for being very sweet. She’s not just a superstar, she’s a regular girl in her 20s who has a good upbringing and some very gracious manners. When she was dining in a Philadelphia restaurant last year, the singer paid her tab and left the server a tip for $500. She also left the head chef tickets (two of them to be exact) to her concert the next evening so he could bring his son, who is a huge Taylor Swift fan, to the concert.

Brad Pitt
He’s always had a reputation for being a big tipper. He’s been talked about numerous times by servers for leaving tips that are several hundred dollars on tabs that aren’t even as high as the tip. Sometimes he even pays for small items with large bills and lets servers and staff keep the change. He’s considered one of the most generous men in Hollywood in terms of tipping. Then again, it shouldn’t come as a surprise considering the fact that he’s also a huge giver in terms of charity and his time helping those in need.

You might or might not know his name. He’s a football player in the NFL, and he’s also a very generous man when it comes to tipping wait staff at the restaurants in which he dines. He reportedly spent some time in a restaurant called Fogo de Chao, which is located in Kansas City with 15 friends and family members. He picked up the tab at the end of the night and left a large tip. The bill alone was $1800, and he decided to go ahead and leave a tip for $1300 for his server when the meal was finished.

Angelina Jolie
Last year, Angeline Jolie and her kids – along with Brad Pitt – spent some time in Berlin, Germany. While in the city they decided to have dinner at a Japanese restaurant where they ordered almost everything on the restaurant’s menu. Their bill was right at $1000 when the night ended, and the celebrity couple decided to leave a generous tip for their server. The tip came to $846, which was more than 80 percent of their bill. It’s safe to say that this is one celebrity couple who isn’t afraid to recognize great service and a job well done.

Jessica Simpson
Back in 2011, Jessica Simpson was in New York City. She and some friends went to a famous restaurant by the name of Lavo and had a decadent dinner. Her portion of the tab was around $500 and she left the waitress a tip that was nearly 60 percent of that. The total tip came out to be $300. However, that’s not all she did for her waitress. She also left the waitress a short note that thanked her and told her that it’s people like her that make the world a much better place in which to live.

He’s one of the most famous basketball stars in history, and he’s also generous. He’s long had a reputation of being a good tipper, but most people don’t talk about how much the star leaves them when he’s out to eat or drink. However, he confirmed in an interview early in 2014 that he likes to leave a good tip when he goes out. He admitted to leaving a $25,000 tip once when he won a $700,000 jackpot during a game of blackjack. He then stated he wished he’d left a bigger tip that time, and he’s a bit embarrassed.

Jay-Z is a famous rapper and he’s married to Beyonce. He’s got plenty of money (reportedly the power couple just broke the $1 billion net worth mark with their combined net worth) to spend and to leave as a tip when he goes out. Rumor has it that when the rapper was in a Miami nightclub once, he dropped a cool quarter of a million dollars on a bottle of champagne and decided to leave his waitress a $50,000 tip for it. The rapper did not leak this information for his reputation, either, it came from the club.

She has a reputation for being a bit flaky and maybe not all that intelligent – even though some of that is definitely a play for the camera. She’s the heiress to the Hilton hotel fortune, and she has plenty of money to burn. Rumor has it that Hilton is always a great tipper, and that when she walks into a bar or restaurant, her server can count on a good tip for a job well done. She’s also known to tip well when it comes to valets, manicurists and others who work for her. She reportedly always leaves more than the actual bill for her tip.
